My Mommy Nemesis

If there is one thing I hate more than anything about my job as mommy, it's juice box straw wrappers. Those little plastic wrappers that go around the straws plague me. First of all, they are impossible to get the straw out of. Second, I find them everywhere. I've found them in the washing machine, my bed, my shoes and always in my pockets. The strange thing is that I rarely give my kids juice boxes. Every time I turn around one is staring at me from some random place. Somehow they never make it to the garbage and end up taking over my life. I'll be so happy when my kids are done with juice boxes and on to guzzling soda just so I won't have to scrape those wrappers off of the lint screen in the dryer.

What's your "Mommy Nemesis"?

too funny and soo true. i had one stuck to my foot the other day...as i was kicking my foot furiously to try and release it without actually bending over...i was thinking - where do these come from and how do they make their way upstairs?

Gum wrappers! they are everywhere -in the wash, in the sink? Stuffed in the couch cushions, clogging the vacuum-I think they are keeping my straw wrappers, legos and lonely sox company!

Aha!....someone else who feels the same way I do about juice boxes! I was just trying to fight a straw out of the silly little wrapper today. I always get the scissors out, because its just not worth the therapy bill I would have if I tried to poke the straw through the un-pokable wrapper!
This post really gave me a chuckle!

Sippy cups, dude. Sippy cups.

Empty sippy cups.
Sippy cups with water.
Sippy cups with milk.
Sippy cups with the artist formerly known as milk.

I have to agree on the straws. Also...those darn jello pudding lids. Ya know, the ones you have to peel back just to get to the pudding? I just can't get my fingers to grip the slippery sucker. I then have to use my teeth and then it rips. WHAT.A.NIGHTMARE!

Stickers! My toddler sticks them on the car window, the dish washer, on the front of the TV and even on the newborn. Somehow they all end up stuck to the bottom of my fuzzy slippers.
