Calling in Sick

My husband calls in sick when he gets stressed out or is actually sick. This always seems to make me angry. What happens when I get sick? I go to work. Or it eventually comes to me complaining it's hungry, or needs a tissue, or whatever. I can't escape my work. Even when I'm on a rare break, taking a bubble bath, my work hunts me down and sneaks in. I open my eyes to find the kids staring at me, needing this or that or just wanting to say "hi".

Don't get me wrong, I love being able to stay at home with the kids. I'm very thankful for the opportunity. But just once in awhile I want and need to escape, other than a lone trip to the grocery store. Everyone needs a break from their jobs. Even when I go on vacation, I bring my job with me. Being a stay at home mom is the only career you can't escape no matter how hard you try.

You should try to hirea babysitter to give yourself a break. Check out www.babysitters4hire.com. I used them to find my sitters and have had great success. It’s quick and easy to login and contact sitters directly. I highly recommend their site to all my family and friends.

Everyone needs a break every once and a while - Moms AND Dads. The babysitting idea sounds good for you and your husband, and/or you might consider a "girls" night out.

Best Wishes,
