One of "Those" Mornings
Did you ever have one of "those" mornings when you have an extremely busy day planned and everything goes wrong? I have a 5 year old who is faking being sick, a dog with a serious butt issue, a Valentine Party for twelve 3 year olds I'm in charge of, a coffee pot that is out to get me, an angry baby who was up all night, a neighbor getting a new roof, and a car that had the passenger door open all night. Yeah, it's been one of "those" mornings.

Calling in Sick
My husband calls in sick when he gets stressed out or is actually sick. This always seems to make me angry. What happens when I get sick? I go to work. Or it eventually comes to me complaining it's hungry, or needs a tissue, or whatever. I can't escape my work. Even when I'm on a rare break, taking a bubble bath, my work hunts me down and sneaks in. I open my eyes to find the kids staring at me, needing this or that or just wanting to say "hi".
Don't get me wrong, I love being able to stay at home with the kids. I'm very thankful for the opportunity. But just once in awhile I want and need to escape, other than a lone trip to the grocery store. Everyone needs a break from their jobs. Even when I go on vacation, I bring my job with me. Being a stay at home mom is the only career you can't escape no matter how hard you try.

Facebook for Moms
If you are like me and millions of moms out there you probably have been spending the majority of nap time writing on the wall of a friends facebook page. It's a fad, and it's fabulous. I love the flair, passing drinks, Coach applications and of course stalking old boyfriends and rivals from high school.
I spend a lot of time on Facebook chit chatting with my mom friends, arranging play dates, and just reducing my stress with silly nonsense. It's great to have a friend request in your inbox from your elementary school best friend. Where else can you re-live a high school moment at 1:30pm on a Tuesday?
Nanny Deprived has also made it to Facebook. Be sure to become a fan of Nanny Deprived and leave us a message on our wall. Search for us as: www.nannydeprived.com or click below. Maybe we'll pass you a drink!
